BLOC’s Endorsement Process

Silent Canvass

Office Visit

BLOC Endorsement Committee

In lieu of doing a silent canvass, candidates wishing to qualify for the BLOC endorsement must participate in at least one virtual town hall with the BLOC Political Director or another staff member. These town halls will be broadcast on Facebook and allow the general public and BLOC Ambassadors to interact with and ask questions of the candidate.

Candidates are asked to meet our whole team in addition to being livestreamed on Facebook. This allows our Ambassadors to get to know candidates and to provide a space for those at home to also ask questions.

This body is made up of BLOC Ambassadors and 5 members of BLOC’s Advisory Board. It meets, before an election, to interview candidates and vote on which candidates BLOC endorses. The committee reserves the right to not endorse or endorse multiple candidates.
