BLOC (Black Leaders Organizing for Communities) works to ensure a high quality of life and access to opportunities for members of the Black community in Milwaukee and throughout Wisconsin. The Center for Popular Democracy Action (CPD/A) serves as a national partner.

Position Description

Status: Full Time Temporary (through November 6th)

Pay: $30,000 / year plus benefits

Reports To: Field Director

Based in: Milwaukee, WI

The Field Operations Manager will work directly with the Field Director and Program Director to ensure the smooth operations of BLOC’s field program by providing in office logistical support.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Voter Activation Network (VAN) to cut turf

  • Prepare Ambassadors and their teams with required lit, tablets, and turf

  • Calculate and monitor field data numbers per canvasser & organization wide

  • Provide quality control of field data by calling voters and reviewing individual canvasser records

  • Provide regular quality control monitoring reports to the Field Director

  • Maintain a database of all field contacts

  • Provide support with Federal & State Reporting

  • Support with research and data analysis

  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in a field program with extensive use of the Voter Activation Network (VAN)

  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive & other computer software

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Able to analyze and calculate numerical information

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Proven ability to work with a team of diverse people

  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
